Darek has been a valued member of Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company since 2016. He began as an Investment Administrator I and has steadily advanced within the organization, earning promotions to Investment Administrator II in 2020, Assistant Vice President in 2022, and most recently to Vice President & Portfolio Manager in 2024.

Darek holds several prestigious designations in the financial industry. He earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager (AFIM®) credentials in 2019, and achieved his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification in 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in finance and holds an M.B.A. from Ball State University.

As a Portfolio Manager, Darek oversees investment accounts, maintains and updates model portfolios, and provides the team with ongoing investment and economic research. He also works directly with clients, offering guidance in investment strategy, asset allocation, and financial planning.

In addition to his work at the bank, Darek has served as a part-time adjunct professor at Vincennes University’s Jasper Campus, teaching courses in Macroeconomics and Personal Finance. He lives in Dubois County with his wife, Maggie, and their two daughters, Mia and Darci.
