Springs Valley Bank & Trust Promotes J. Craig Buse to SeVP & Chief Lending Officer

Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company recently promoted J. Craig Buse to Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer. Joining Springs Valley in 2002, Craig has held several positions during his time at the Bank, with his most recent position that of Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer (COO). In addition to his responsibilities as CLO, he will continue oversight of many of the daily operations of the Bank as COO.

Jamie Shinabarger, President & CEO of Springs Valley Bank & Trust, had this to say, “Craig has demonstrated a great skillset, super efficiency, an overabundance of initiative, a great aptitude, and with intent, has broadened his banking and specifically lending knowledge extensively. This appointment also serves as a component of his C-Level development plan which we take seriously for our Senior Managers, as well as all of our Staff at the various levels of the organization.”

Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Technology from Capella University. He is a 2012 graduate from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin. Craig completed the Dubois County Leadership Academy in 2011 and was awarded the Independent Community Bankers “Rising Star” Award in 2009. He is the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Jasper, board member of Indiana Bankers Future Leadership Development and member of the Northwood Good Samaritan Advisory Board.

Craig is a youth sports coach for Patriot Wrestling Club and North Spencer Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer. Craig resides in Spencer County with his wife, Erika, and two children, Chase and Colton.
