“James (Jim) Alexander retires from Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company”June 2, 2020 |
Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company announces the retirement of James (Jim) Alexander, Security Analyst, effective Thursday, June 18, 2020. Prior to joining Springs Valley in 2016, Jim worked at South Harrison Community School Corporation for eight years, Matrix Integration for twelve years, and had owned his own business. Jim resides in Ferdinand with wife, Cindy, who recently retired from New Albany Floyd County School Corporation as a Systems Administrator. He enjoys motorcycling, hunting, fishing, and golf. Jim has a passion for computers and jokingly says he might have the only household in Ferdinand that has its own full-height server rack with server, firewall, Access Points, Uninterruptable Power Supply, and switches. “I want to say thank you to Springs Valley for giving me the opportunity to use what I know to help the organization grow while keeping security top-of mind,” said Jim Alexander. “What I intended to be a two-year gig to ease into retirement, turned into four years of employment with Springs Valley. In that time, there was not much easing-up on the workload. I was responsible for growing and upgrading the network, incorporating a state-of-the-art video surveillance system, and adding networking for two new banking centers. It has been a wonderful time at Springs Valley, and I will cherish the memories.” “It has been an honor to have Jim Alexander as part of Springs Valley Bank & Trust,” said Craig Buse, SEVP & Chief Lending Officer. “Jim has improved our information technology and pushed the knowledge he possesses down to the rest of the information technology team members. In his time with Springs Valley, he has helped us grow to become a sophisticated and highly secure organization. I can speak for everyone at Springs Valley when I say that it was an absolute joy to have Jim be part of our organization and that he will be truly missed.” Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company, is a subsidiary of SVB&T Corporation, headquartered at 8482 West State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana 47432 with administrative offices at 1500 Main Street, Jasper, Indiana 47546.
