“Springs Valley Promotes Matthew ‘Shane’ Buffington to Vice President”

Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company recently promoted Matthew “Shane” Buffington to Vice President in addition to his current role of Special Accounts Officer.

Shane began his career with Springs Valley in March of 1988. He started his career as a bank teller and has held several positions within his 30 years at Springs Valley. Positions held include Data Processing, Consumer Loan Officer, Internet Coordinator, and most recently Assistant Vice President & Special Accounts Officer.

Shane is a graduate of Springs Valley High School and attended Vincennes University. He has a degree in Computer Programming Technology.  He has attended the Consumer, Mortgage, and Commercial Lending schools hosted by the Indiana Banker’s Association and is a Leadership Orange Alumni. Shane is a Deacon at Springs Valley Christian Church, Treasurer and board member for Orange County Community Foundation and Treasurer and board member for Mt. Lebanon Cemetery Association. Throughout the years, Shane has been involved with Boy Scouts of America, Springs Valley Little League, Springs Valley Youth Football, Springs Valley Youth basketball, and Boosters for Springs Valley High School sports.

Shane and his wife Mendy are proud parents of a son, Zerek. They reside in Orange County. His hobbies include motorcycling, motor touring, home mechanics, hiking, Geotracking, studying maps, and internet surfing.
