“Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company Donates $500.00 to West Baden Springs Police Department K9 Fundraiser"

The West Baden Springs Police Department will be hosting a K9 Fundraiser. The fundraiser is to assist them with raising funds to purchase a new canine for the agency after the recent passing of canine Asher. Canine Asher was an invaluable member of the agency and served the community for 8 ½ years. This event will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET at Legendz Sports Bar and Grill located in French Lick, Indiana.

A canine dog, also known as a police or working dog, is a highly trained canine partner that assists law enforcement. These dogs possess an incredible sense of smell, which allows them to detect drugs, explosives, and even locate missing persons. Their agility and discipline make them adept at apprehending suspects, searching buildings, and navigating challenging terrains. Additionally, canine dogs can also provide emotional support to students at school, offering a calming and comforting presence that helps reduce stress and anxiety. Canine dogs play an invaluable role in enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement, search and rescue operations, and ensuring the safety of communities. These are some of the many reasons why Springs Valley is honored to support the K9 Fundraiser hosted by the West Baden Springs Police Department.
